Kapow National Curriculum Mapping (click on to see link)
This document shows how Kapow Primary's French curriculum gives coverage of the statutory guidance outlined in the KS2 National Curriculum for Languages.
Each of our individual lessons also shows which National curriculum attainment targets pupils are working towards within the lesson.
The Kapow Primary strands for French are: Speaking and pronunciation, Listening, Reading and writing, Grammar and Intercultural understanding, as well as the over-arching strand 'Language detective skills.' This document shows how these strands relate to the National curriculum.
The starred (*) units are those which are wholly or partially included in our Long-term plan: Condensed version and you can be assured that if you follow our condensed curriculum then pupils will have opportunities to work towards all of the National curriculum statements for Languages.
If your school decides to adapt or omit a unit, this document can help you to plan accordingly, ensuring that you do not leave any gaps in your coverage of the National curriculum for Languages.
